






[Anhui 75,000 mt Lithium Battery Recycling Project Launched] Recently, the Ecology and Environment Bureau of Hefei City, Anhui Province officially announced a major environmental protection initiative—the acceptance notice for Anhui Xunying Renewable Resources Utilization Co., Ltd.'s "Annual Processing of 75,000 mt of Lithium Battery Materials Recycling Project." According to the plan, three large production workshops and supporting facilities will be newly built, and various advanced production equipment including crushers, vibrating screens, and grinding machines will be introduced. Additionally, a dedicated production line for battery cell crushing, three negative pole piece regeneration processing lines, and one positive pole piece regeneration processing line will be constructed. Upon full completion and operation, the project is expected to effectively process approximately 75,000 mt per year of various types of scrap LFP/ternary lithium battery cells and their associated components.
[Taiyuan, Shanxi Launches 8,000 Modules/Year Second-Life Application Project] Recently, the Administrative Approval Service Administration Bureau of Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province officially publicized the acceptance of the environmental impact assessment documents for "Shanxi Huanging Renewable Resources Utilization Co., Ltd.'s New Energy Lithium Battery Second-Life Application Project," marking an important step towards green transformation is expected to be implemented. The total investment in this project is as high as 76.0096 million yuan. The project will adopt a phased construction strategy. The first phase focuses on the pretreatment and dismantling of recycled end-of-life vehicles, with a designed dismantling capacity of 20,000 units per year, laying a solid foundation for subsequent resource utilization. The second phase goes further, carrying out key steps such as testing, reassembly, and second-life application for new energy power batteries, with an expected testing and packaging capacity of 8,000 modules per year.
[400,000 mt Scrap Power Battery Resource Recycling Project Commences Operation] Recently, Hunan Kejian Energy Development Co., Ltd.'s "Annual Processing of 400,000 mt Scrap Power Battery Resource Recycling Project" was completed and put into operation. It is reported that this project started construction in 2024, with a total investment of 185 million yuan and a land area of 33,300 m².
[Announcement of Large Order for 450,000 mt Battery Raw Materials and Materials] Recently, GEM (002340) announced that the company signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with XTC New Energy Materials (Xiamen) (688778) for the supply of advanced battery raw materials and materials. The announcement shows that both parties agreed to establish a long-term partnership for the raw material supply chain of ternary cathode material, LCO, solid-state lithium battery materials, semi-solid-state lithium battery materials, lithium-rich manganese-based materials, and other products used in lithium batteries for consumer electronics, power applications, as well as low-altitude aircraft, eVTOL, AI, robots, and other fields.
[60,000 mt Scrap Lithium Battery Project Commences Construction] On October 28, Huojia County held the commencement ceremony for Xinxiang City Huarui Power Supply Materials Co., Ltd.'s annual recycling and utilization project for 60,000 mt of scrap new energy power batteries. According to reports, Xinxiang Huarui Power Supply Materials Co., Ltd.'s annual recycling and processing project for 60,000 mt of scrap lithium batteries is expected to require an investment of 120 million yuan. The project will cover an area of 30 mu, with newly constructed workshops, offices, and auxiliary facilities totaling 15,000 m². It will establish 10 new energy power battery disassembly lines, with an expected construction period of 15 months. Upon completion, the facility will be capable of recycling 60,000 mt of various new energy power batteries annually and create 30 new jobs.
[60 GWh Battery Industry Base Project Expansion Announcement] Recently, the Ecological Environment Bureau of Yanzhou District, Jining City, Shandong Province, intends to issue an examination opinion on the environmental impact assessment document for the construction project "Phase II Expansion of the Shandong Times New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. Shandong Times New Energy Battery Industry Base Project Environmental Impact Report Form." The Phase II expansion of the Shandong Times New Energy Battery Industry Base Project obtained the Shandong Province Construction Project Filing Certificate on January 24, 2025 (Filing No.: 2501-370812-04-01-690454). The construction content and scale involve utilizing existing workshops, purchasing equipment such as coating machines and winding machines, using NCM & LFP as raw materials, and employing wet coating production technology and processes. The main energy-consuming equipment includes coating machines, high-efficiency slurry preparation machines, capacity testing machines, and formation machines, aiming to achieve an annual production capacity of 60 GWh of lithium battery products. The total project investment is 354.5 million yuan.
[Lithium Battery Recycling Project Lands in Heilongjiang] Recently, the Hegang Municipal Government released a public notice regarding the acceptance status of the environmental impact assessment documents for the Hegang City Scrap Lithium Battery Recycling and Utilization Project. The project will be constructed in two phases. Phase I involves building one scrap lithium battery processing production line with an annual processing capacity of 6,000 mt of scrap lithium batteries (including 5,000 mt/a of scrap ternary lithium batteries and 1,000 mt/a of scrap LFP batteries). Phase II involves constructing five production lines within the workshop: three for processing scrap positive pole pieces and two for processing scrap negative pole pieces.

[Inner Mongolia 50,000 mt Lithium Battery Recycling and Utilization Project Proposed] Recently, the Horqin Left Rear Banner government website published the first public participation notice regarding the environmental impact assessment for the Tongliao City Ecological Environment Bureau Horqin Left Rear Banner Branch's project related to Inner Mongolia Bona Qingyuan Renewable Resources Technology Co., Ltd.'s lithium battery and scrap electrical equipment recycling, disassembly, and resource utilization project. The project will be constructed in three phases. Phase I involves building a second-life application production line for lithium batteries and a lithium battery crushing, sorting, and recycling production line, with an annual processing capacity of 30,000 mt for second-life lithium batteries and an annual crushing, sorting, and recycling capacity of 20,000 mt for lithium batteries. Phase II involves constructing a waste solar panel processing line with an annual capacity of 20,000 mt. Phase III involves building a waste wind turbine blade processing line with an annual capacity of 20,000 mt.
[Public Announcement of High-End Fluorinated Fine Chemicals Project with Over 10,000 mt Capacity] Recently, the Weihai Municipal Bureau of Ecology and Environment issued an announcement regarding the capacity expansion project for high-end fluorinated fine chemicals by Weihai Xinyuan New Materials Co., Ltd. The specific details of the project are as follows: The proposed project covers an area of approximately 32 mu, utilizing two existing workshops along with their outdoor installations and auxiliary control rooms and power distribution rooms. It will add a construction area of 6,974.5 m², including the construction of one new workshop and its outdoor installations, a new circulating cooling water and refrigeration system, a new ethylene storage tank group equipped with two ethylene storage tanks and an ethylene vaporizer, two trifluoropropylene storage tanks, two trifluoroethanol storage tanks, and related auxiliary facilities. Approximately 468 units (sets) of equipment will be procured, while other public and auxiliary facilities will rely on the company’s existing infrastructure.
